The consistently good weather, the high level of security, the still relatively low cost of living, the good and reliable medical care. And the property prices, which are still amongst the lowest compared to many other countries. And certainly not least: the relaxed lifestyle , the openness and friendliness of the Portuguese, the wonderful landscapes, the cultural wealth, the great cuisine... just to name a few.

The young family
We have had such lovely holidays in the Algarve in which we have always enjoyed the weather, the beautiful beaches and the delicious food. And we were surprised by the relaxed atmosphere – and the Portuguese welcomed us as tourists incredibly warmly!
Back from holidays straight back into the hamster wheel – job,school, kindergarten... back to “normal” – but is this the life we want our children to live? Our answer is NO! So we have now decided to move to the Algarve as of next school term- there are international schools or even the German school, among others, and we can also work remotely. And if we have to go to Germany for business, there are daily flights going from Faro ...
In the new surroundings the children will surely learn the Portuguese language quickly and we will also make an effort to settle in well.
To avoid any stress and to settle in quickly we need someone who knows the area well and can give us and our children helpful tips.

An attractive job offer beckons and we have taken our decision: we will move to the Algarve! But we don't know the area at all!
We will definitely find some property to buy, but how do we find out what we really like and in which region we can feel at home? How do we settle in quickly? How do we find out what to do in the Algarve? And where? Where do we feel happy? Our hobbies are also important to us, it is not just the job that counts – and because of work we will not have much time to research everything ourselves.
So we need someone who knows the Algarve really well and can give us help so that we quickly feel at home and can meet like-minded people.

Your second home in the Algarve
Retirement is getting closer – just a few more years of work and then? Do we stay in Germany? Or do we want to buy a second home in Portugal?
It was always so nice on vacation in the Algarve and we felt so comfortable... that would be an appealing thought: to be able to travel to the Algarve to our second home relatively spontaneously, without any luggage, without much planning. To spend time there in wonderful surroundings every now and then. And maybe move there completely at some point. It would be great to immerse ourselves in the life and culture of the Algarve over time, to meet new people, build contacts and also learn the Portuguese language.
It would be helpful to have someone by our side who knows the area well and can give us tips on how to get a foothold in the Algarve and feel safe, even if we become less mobile as we get older.

Property purchase with a good return on investment
I am looking for a property in a very good location that guarantees a good return when I sell it again at some point.The real-estate market in the Algarve has developped very well in recent years; the interest from buyers clearly exceeds the offer, and there is currently no end in sight to this development – it would be an interesting opportunity to invest and benefit from the market dynamics by selling the property again at a profit. There is currently a real boom in people from North America, Canada and increasingly also China looking for properties not only in Lisbon, Porto but also in the Algarve in particular – this seems to me to be an interesting region for a lucrative investment!
I am looking for a local market expert who knows the Algarve real-estate market well and can show me interesting investment properties – be it near the beach or in the hinterland of the Algarve.
